It has been about 15 or so years since I have updated this blurb, and since I am updating my website, I decided to ask some of the friends I have met along the way, what their thoughts were. I like to call it personal growth and listening to those around me, instead of coming up with my own conclusions, something I personally think the world needs more of.
So enough about me on me and onto what I have learned.
There for you
The most resounding comments I have received is how I am always available for
my friends/clients. Apparently, by the sounds of things, I do not sleep. While this is far from the truth, I do sleep with my cellphone on and next to me and, if possible, I always try to pick it up. Of course, there are situations where driving laws or the laws of physics prevent me from being able to answer my phone, but as soon as I pull over, or get out of the attic, I do call back. In addition, the monitoring station staff is always available to deal with any signals from your Alarm panel. If there is an issue which requires my personal support, the station staff is instructed to contact me, 24/7.
A Real Person
Another common bit of feedback was how I do not use pressure or fear mongering sales tactics. This is something which has been very important to me, since the day I decided to give up my “Real job” and start KeepSafe Systems, back in November of 1997. In fact, my first piece of “marketing material” was a stick figure drawing, mostly drawn by my niece, Haley. Since she is fiercely independent and wanted to draw things in her own way, there was a little bit of photo-shopping required., in order to get the whole family together in one place at the same time…. In the final post card flyer I added Spunky the dog, as an inside joke
Not a Faceless "MegaCorp"
Interestingly enough, many of my friends / customers chose KeepSafe Systems because of the KeepSafe Systems Chinchilla mascots. Yes, they are really a large part of KeepSafe Systems. They greet me when I come home and always seem to listen when I feel a little down. They also have their own room and I have a couple of Mobotix IP Camera’s keeping an eye on them and allowing me to talk to them, if I am out and I notice one of them has become a little stressed out.
Looking out for your needs
The third most common response was the amount of information available on my website. This is something I will continue to build on. Some of the articles, like False alarm info, Protection 101 and Theft by Fire, are the oldest of the bunch, and the article on Video Surveillance has changed as technology has advanced. I still look back at the older stuff, because I feel there is value in knowing the background of how things work and how they have progressed.
I know this was supposed to be a sales spiel, but I am a technician at heart and facts are of primary importance. I hope my rambling helped you determine if what KeepSafe Systems offers, fits within your own personal security requirements.
Keeping Friends Safe by Word of Mouth, since 1997
KeepSafe Systems has been installing, servicing and providing monitoring services for both residential and commercial security alarm systems in the Metro Vancouver Fraser Valley region of British Columbia since 1997. I, the owner of KeepSafe Systems, have also been in the security alarm industry as a technician and installer since 1991ish. So you can be assured I know what I am talking about when it comes to installing and servicing security alarm systems. Not to toot my own horn but.... well this is the sales spiel section of my website.
So, if you are tired of the lack of service from the "Other Guys" give me a shout and I will do my very best to ensure your experience with KeepSafe Systems is one you will be happy to tell your friends about. After all, pretty much all of my business is as a result of "Word of Mouth" advertising.
